Captain's Welcome:

I would like to first thank you all for entrusting me as club captain of Old I's for the 2010-2011 season. Finishing last season on a good note and great end of season tour, I aim to build upon the strong foundation and traditions that makes Old I's the greatest club in the world. With the help and support from all of you, especially Bob Patten, Nick Lambert, Antony Enright, Peter Spiers, Colum Ewing and my vice captain Darren West, I know this season will be one to remember. I encourage everyone to bring new faces down to ensure we maintain our strong foundation for many years to come. See you all at training.

Best regards, Brian Ralston

Pre-Season Training:

Touch will begin on Tuesday, June 15th 19:30. This is a great opportunity to bring new people down to the club who haven't played in a while or are just starting out.

Pre-season training has begun for those who are participating in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. These sessions will remain on Tuesdays as well until July 6th . Please contact Bob or Hamish for the schedule of locations and times if you are not already on the list.

Training:

***Training has been moved to Tuesdays and Thursdays***

Training with Nick will begin on Tuesday July 6th at 19:30.

In order to coincide with Nick's schedule we have decided to move training sessions to Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesdays will be the main technical session lead by Nick and Thursdays will be more fitness based with a pregame run through. The last Tuesday of every month will be dedicated to the forwards working on the scum machine. This will commence on Tuesday, July 27th. If you are part of this elite group please make your best effort to attend. Backs will work on our dance moves during these sessions.

Coaches Corner:

I'm really excited about the forthcoming season and particularly the opportunity to work with the Club over a full year, from Summer training to Pre-season to the League season itself. Please keep an eye out for the 'monthly focus' fliers which will allow all to understand the main objectives each month and also please take time to familiarise yourself with all chapters of the Playbook which will be released over the summer. Let's use the summer well, get into the habit of training regularly and prepare for another successful season... All the best, Coach
