It is with sadness we report that, following a long battle with illness, Alex Newberry passed away earlier this week,
He was father of Old Isleworthians’ Tom who until recently was an OIRFC regular player, and Alex jnr who played occasionally for OIRFC.
Alex snr was a former London Irish 1st XV front row player and stalwart, and one time coach at OIRFC.
The thoughts and condolences of all Old I’s go to Tom, Alex and families.
There will be a minute’s silence before the match at Wood Lane this Saturday.
